March, 2025 - July, 2025
When the call went out for people to pitch events for KH Reconnect Denver, I had an epiphany. Like all good ideas, it started with desperately searching for a pun. The in-game currency in the Kingdom Hearts series is called Munny, and despite never seeing Jerry Maguire, I can hear Tom Cruise screaming “SHOW ME THE MONEY” as if I had. So naturally (stay with me here), I exclaimed to my wife, “what if we did a Price is Right style game for Kingdom Hearts”.
My pitch to the event organizers was approved, and we began designing the game. At the event in July, I went on stage in front of 200 people and put on an interactive game show where contestants played various games that tested their knowledge of the prices of items in the Kingdom Hearts series.
People still tell me that they loved this event. I’m incredibly proud of myself for being up on stage. I’m also incredibly grateful to my friend, KHGuides, for the opportunity to put on such a fun show!
